/var/lib/dpkg/status': No space left on device "

If you get error in Ubuntu like "/var/lib/dpkg/status': No space left on device" you can use.

Please open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get clean all
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get clean all

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Then try to remove unused old kernel if you need help please ask here.
